March 2006 News
The Club has submitted a grant proposal to the Polaris corporation to see about getting
funds for the club in order to construct new trails, improve and maintain existing trails, and
possibly acquire equipment and materials for improvement to the grounds.
We also voted to have our secretary (Jill Moyher) take a course in grant proposal
preparation that she will be attending online. It is hoped that if grants are professionally
submitted, than we will stand a better chance of receiving funds for improvement and
expansion of the club and trail system.

We will be holding a membership drive at the Fayette county fair in July and will be needing
members to volunteer to man the booth. See the upcoming events page for more information.

We are also planning on setting up a concession stand at
QUADFEST 2006.  We will be
needing volunteers to man the trailer, decide what type of food to sell, cook food, sell food,
haul the trailer to the event, Etc. Etc.  Please contact a club officer or board member to help
out. This can be a
BIG moneymaker for the club. We will be there on July 21, 22, 23.

We will be putting out a BAR-B-QUE ticket in April to go off in time for Memorial day. All
members are urged to try and sell some tickets. They will be available at the April monthly
meeting and all monies will be due May 17th or else unpaid for tickets will be considered null
and void.

Our participation in the
PA Clean Ways program has changed. We are going to take on
Wash Run Road, and drop Pritts distillery road. We will keep Neals Run road.
