Old Business

QuadFest

ICV has signed an agreement to participate in QuadFest 2007 as the parking crew for Day Parking.  There
was a sign up sheet distributed for all to see the hours to work.  All members who sign up for at least 6 hours
will get free entrance and camping for the event.  The shifts will be 4 or 5 hours long.  ICV will receive 20% of
all parking/camping fees with a guarantee of at least $1000 for their participation.  Since we will not be able
to schedule any poker runs, this is a great way to support the club and help raise money.

Opening Township Roads

Mark attended the township meeting and there will be an upcoming vote in April to gain approval to open
parts of the two township roads to ATV Riding.

Fayette County Fair

Mark Lynch and the 4H in Fayette County are still seeking approval for a grant to offer training at the
fairgrounds and potentially a booth for ICV during the 2007 fair.  Details to follow.

mile trail system.  There is space for riders to attend both trips.  If you are interested please see Fred or
James.

K/O Lodge presentation.

Ed Fick of K/O Lodge, a 5 Star Canadian resort in Ontario Canada spent about 30 minutes with the
members of ICV to present his location and ATV Adventure opportunities.  The K/O Lodge specializes in
offering “Outdoor Adventures” like hunting, fishing and ATV trips.  There are over 1,000 miles of ATV trails
that can be accessed from their lodge – the trails are easy, intermediate and hard.  Ed answered multiple
questions from the group about requirements and opportunities – a few are shared below:

Will I need to purchase a Canadian ATV Pass?  Canada recognizes the US ATV requirements, so if
your quad is registered with insurance in Pennsylvania, you will not need to purchase a Canadian ATV pass
to ride in Canada.

Do I need a passport to enter Canada?  As of Feb, 2007, all US residents ‘FLYING’ into Canada need a
passport.  If you are ‘DRIVING’ into Canada, you will not need a passport until June of 2009.

What kind of food is available?  K/O lodge offers full meal coverage.  There is breakfast, lunch and dinner
provided with the all inclusive package.  Dinner has over 20 options.

Is there gasoline available on or near the property?  K/O has gas available for purchase right on the
property or there is a gas station approximately 4 miles from the lodge.

Is there any requirement for trailering ATVS over the border?  I.e. Fees, etc?  No, ATVS and boats are
welcome to cross the border at any time.

What kinds of trails are available to ride?  There are easy, medium and hard trails available to explore.
There is something for all skill levels.

Can an ATV trip include hunting or boating?  Yes, Ed explained that those who wanted to pursue hunting
or fishing opportunities while in Canada could do so just by purchasing the necessary licenses.

There is a group from Western Pennsylvania going to Canada in Sept/Oct of 2008 (Sept 26th to Oct 4th) – if
you are interested in going, please see Jill or email her at
jill@paatving.com.

A Giant Thank You goes out to Ed for braving the weather and coming to our club meeting!
